Cloud Dragon Paper
A folk handmade paper whose long fibres veil like clouds in the light, also called yarn, gou-bark or cotton paper.
Cloud dragon paper is hand-formed from bast fibres such as paper mulberry: light, translucent, with long fibres scattered unevenly so they drift like clouds against the light. Yarn paper, gou-bark paper and cotton paper are folk names for it, and handmade yarn paper from Gongchuan Village has been produced since the Ming era. It takes ink gently, suiting calligraphy, painting and mounting; gsm and veil vary sheet to sheet, so confirm by physical sample for volume use.
